Terms and Conditions

Tariffs

Tariffs quoted are based on check-in date and stated length of stay. Tariffs are for the number of occupants listed in your e-mail confirmation and do not include charges for extra bedding, towels or extra people. VAT is included in your booking tariff and is charged at the standard rate where applicable.

Tariffs include all aspects unless otherwise stated. 

Short breaks (min. 4 nights) are welcomed all year round, but are subject to peak time restrictions and availability*.

*A short break during peak times may only be booked within 2 weeks of the required dates. Peak times are: June to September, October and end of May half terms, Christmas, New Year and Easter.

Confirmation of booking

We will confirm your booking on receipt of your deposit. Please check details of the confirmation and advise us immediately if there are any errors.

Complaints

Any complaint must be notified immediately so that an investigation can be made if necessary and any remedial action taken if required. Complaints will not be accepted after the tenancy has ended.

Right of Entry

We wish to leave the party in peace and quiet to enjoy their holiday, however, the hirer will allow owners and agents reasonable access to the property, if required.

Liability

We shall not be deemed liable to you or any member of your party for any loss or damage to person or property arising from the letting.

Descriptions

We have endeavoured to take every good care to ensure the accuracy of descriptions contained in any information relating to Norburton Hall and the cottages. All information is given in good faith and believed correct at the time of printing. We cannot be held responsible for any errors or omissions.

Safety Notice

For your safety please note that there are areas of deep water in the grounds of Norburton Hall. Paths, drive, and grassy areas might become slippery when wet. Roots of trees and shrubs and uneven surfaces pose potential trip hazards. While every effort has been made to ensure the safety of visitors, it is ultimately the responsibility of visitors and guests to keep themselves, vulnerable members of their party, and pets safe.

Payment

We allow 7 days for your deposit to reach us after receipt of your request for a reservation. If your deposit does not arrive within 7 days we reserve the right to offer the accommodation to others. Payment dates are advised at the time of booking. Please ensure payments reach us by the advised date to prevent your booking from being cancelled. A 50% deposit is requested on booking and full payment is due 6 weeks before arrival or on booking if within 8 weeks of arrival.

Revision/Cancellation

Should you need to cancel, we will be happy to refund any payment after deducting an administration charge of £20, provided the accommodation is re-let. If we are unable to re-sell your holiday we will retain payments to cover our costs and you may therefore wish to take out holiday insurance. If, regretfully, we are unable to provide the accommodation we will refund your payment. Our liability will be limited to the payment that we have received from you, we will not pay compensation or expenses arising from the cancellation.

Arrival time

Earliest arrival times are advised at the time of booking. If you arrive at Norburton Hall prior to the advised check-in time you are welcome to leave your car in the allocated parking area by the cottages and to return to reception later. We like to ensure that our accommodation is prepared to the highest standards and request that guests respect arrival times.

Pets

We welcome well-behaved pets in the Hayloft only by prior arrangement. Please contact us for more details including costs. 

Pets must not be left unattended at any time or allowed on the furniture or on the bed. Please note: For the health of our own and other visitors’ pets, only dogs with up-to-date vaccinations will be allowed in the Hayloft and the grounds. Owners will be required to collect and dispose of dog dirt from the grounds and a special bin is provided for this.

Departure

We leave cleaning materials in the cottages and ask for the accommodation to be left clean and tidy with the dishwashers empty and for all breakages and damage to be paid for or rectified. Alternatively service cleaning can be organised by arrangement. Departure from the cottages is requested by 10.00am.

Smoking

Please note that Norburton Hall, the cottages and the grounds comprise a no-smoking site.
